Dr. Wambui Kahara (H.C) is a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist whose influence spans Africa’s investment landscape. As the Founder and CEO of Crystal Tribe Investments and Co-founder and Director of La Pearl Investment Africa, she has spearheaded significant investment projects that have driven economic growth and innovation across the continent. Her strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in fostering sustainable development and creating new opportunities for businesses throughout Africa
With a decade of experience at the United Nations, Dr. Kahara excelled in roles focused on youth economic development, inter-governmental relations, criminal justice, and served as the Regional Coordinator for Urban Safety Governance. She was appointed by the Government of Kenya as the inaugural Kenya Youth Representative to the United Nations, representing the country in various high-level meetings globally and working closely with various heads of state.
Dr. Kahara pioneered the development of the UN Inter-agency Joint Programme on Youth, the Prisons Entrepreneurship and Reintegration Program in Kenya, and established the Africa Young Parliamentarians Network.
Her exceptional achievements in investment and development have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the United Nations Award for South-South Cooperation, the Crans Montana New Leader Award, the Humanitarian Award, the United Cities and Local Governments Youth Champion for Africa Award, the Desmond Tutu Leadership Award, and the Rising Star Award. Dr. Kahara holds an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities and serves on several international boards, reflecting her deep commitment to philanthropy and her influential role in shaping Africa’s future.
